Upcoming Tax Deadlines: Q2 2025 estimated tax payments are due on June 15 for individuals and C-Corps (extended to Oct 15 for LA County and Nov 3 for TN due to disaster relief), and Delaware LLC Annual Franchise Taxes are due June 1.
BOI Reporting Paused: FinCEN has issued an interim ruling exempting U.S. companies and individuals from Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) reporting for now, placing filing requirements on hold pending further review.
New Platform Features (QuickBooks & Gusto): QuickBooks now offers an option to pass flat $25 ACH processing fees to clients, and Gusto has added owner approval workflows for payroll submissions to enhance internal controls.

Upcoming June 15 Tax Deadlines: Q1 2026 estimated tax deposits are due for federal and state returns. Additionally, California LLCs anticipating over $250K gross revenue must pay their $900 fee, and CA S-Corps/partnerships participating in the Pass-Through Entity (PTE) tax must submit their required deposit.
100% Deductible Annual Team Events: Under the One Big Beautiful Bill, a once-a-year team event (such as an annual holiday party or employee appreciation event) for staff and spouses is 100% tax-deductible for both food and entertainment, provided it is open to all employees and properly documented.
Client & Contractor Meal Rules: The 100% deduction does not extend to clients, vendors, or 1099 independent contractors. Business events involving clients or contractors remain subject to standard limits (50% for meals, 0% for entertainment).

July 2026

Summer Deadlines & Filing Scam Warning: No major federal or state tax deadlines until September. Beware of deceptive third-party notices charging inflated fees for Annual Reports or Statements of Information—these require only standard state fees, and our team will remind you when yours are due.
Household Employee Payroll vs. Cash: Paying domestic help (nannies, housekeepers, caregivers) via official Household Employer status ensures compliance and provides worker benefits (unemployment, disability, Social Security). Withholdings are filed on Schedule H of your Form 1040 rather than business payroll forms.
Trump Accounts Launch (July 4th): Contributions open on July 4th for children under 18. If Form 4547 was filed with your 2025 return, look out for activation emails from no-reply@trumpaccounts.treasury.gov. Eligible children born between 2025 and 2028 receive an initial $1,000 tax-free government seed deposit.
